Assists in recruiting new members and nominating officers for each election.
Community Affairs & Events
Liaises with local organizations and officials in San Antonio’s African-American community and assists with planning events on campus.

Maintains technology and communications needs of the BFSA.
Student Affairs
Develops programs and provides leadership for the enhancement of social, academic and professional opportunities for black students.
Staff Affairs
Assists University efforts toward the hiring, retention, and promotion of African-American staff members. Manages training for the cultivation of academic professionals.
Faculty Affairs
Assists University efforts toward the hiring, retention, tenure and promotion of African-American faculty. Publicizes and coordinates research activities researchers in the community.
